The Admission Procedure is adapted from the former Admission and Credit Policy and redeveloped to align with the Policy Governance Framework. While the document structural is substantially different from the former Admission and Credit policy, the rules and intent remain largely unchanged. Case of Equivalence (formerly waiver of academic and English language entry requirements) : The Admissions Procedure has refined the terminology used to define waivers and the requirements and procedure for submitting a request for a case of equivalence. It has been reinforced that minimum entry requirements are not waived, rather there is an opportunity to demonstrate by other means that an applicant has the appropriate level of academic or English language proficiency to be successful in their program. Withdrawal or Refusal of Admission: A new clause provides RMIT the right to refuse or withdraw an offer of admission to an applicant who has contravened the Student Charter during a previous admission process or enrolment but who had not been subject to Student Conduct outcome. The Procedure now includes a provision to allow the withdrawal of an offer where a program intake is full to reflect current business process.Admission Procedure
