  • Inclusion, Diversity and Equity PolicyThis policy articulates RMIT’s commitment to providing an accessible and inclusive learning and work environment that promotes diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity and is free from discrimination, sexual harm, victimisation, and vilification.

  • Information Classification Levels Schedule 15/6/2024: The publication of this document was approved by the policy owner (interim COO) on 5/6/2024. The Information Classification Levels Schedule 1 (attached) to define Security Classifications and Management Classifications.
  • Information Classification StandardThis procedure documents the requirements for the provision and control of data and information access, sharing and re-use at RMIT throughout its lifecycle.
    It will provide details on responsibilities and requirements for data discoverability, meta data management, data extraction, data classification, data movement and data sharing.
  • Information Governance PolicyEstablishes the framework for the governance and management of information at RMIT.
  • Information Technology - Acceptable Use StandardAcceptable Use Standard - This standard outlines the required behaviours for all users of RMIT information technology (IT) assets and
    services. The aim is to ensure all access and use of RMIT information systems and IT services is appropriate, legal, safe and fair for all users while ensuring the protection of RMIT Systems and Data.
  • Information Technology - User Device Security StandardUser Device security standard - This standard outlines minimum requirements for computers, laptops, tablets, phones or any other
    devices used to:
    a. connect to the RMIT network; or
    b. access or generate data for legitimate University purposes.
  • Information Technology and Security PolicyInformation Technology and security policy - The purpose of this policy is to protect information resources against accidental or unauthorised disclosure, modification, or destruction and assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of University data and assets , apply appropriate physical, operational and technical safeguards without creating unjustified obstacles to the conduct of business and research of the university and the provision of services and comply with applicable state, federal and global laws governing information resources.
  • Intellectual Freedom PolicyDescribes the rights, expectations and responsibilities of the University, staff and students in relation to intellectual freedom at RMIT.
  • Intellectual Property PolicyDescribes the rights, roles and responsibilities of the University, staff, affiliates and students in relation to intellectual property (IP).
  • Intellectual Property ProcedureTo set out RMIT's position in relation to the ownership and management of intellectual property created as part of the operations of the university.
  • Intellectual Property RegulationsMakes further provision in relation to intellectual property and establishes the intellectual property committee.
